“Look how far we’ve come!” was the theme of the day at New Hope-Solebury High School, where three varsity teams were being sent off to pivotal late-season games.
The NH-S Boys Varsity Soccer Team, led by coaches David Bachart and Jeff Love, are competing in the district semi-finals against Lansdale Catholic High School at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Landsdale High is located at 700 Lansdale Ave.
The New Hope-Solebury Girls Varsity Soccer Team is going for glory at the district semi-finals against Masterman High School at 3:15 p.m. Coached by Solomon Jacobs and Jim Swasey, the NH-S team travels to Marcus Foster Memorial Stadium at Simon Gratz High School, 1798 W Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia.
And the New Hope-Solebury Girls Varsity Field Hockey Team has made it to the regional playoffs. Coached by Gwen Smith and Yona Rose, NH-S takes on Lansdale Catholic High School at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
No matter the outcome of today’s key contests, New Hope-Solebury is feeling the pride.
“This is completely due to the hard work of our kids, the planning and preparation of our coaches, and the support of the school community,” observed NH-S Director of Athletics Ernie Rehr.
