Construction at Cafe Coryell in New Hope is moving along at a brisk pace, and while its owner may have hoped to open the coffee house in May, completion doesn’t seem far off, judging by appearances.
The cafe is located in the former Christmas Past building at 142 S. Main St., and will feature coffee, panini, salads and more. While details of the “more” are scarce, one aspect that is becoming apparent is that Cafe Coryell isn’t going to be just another New Hope coffee joint.
It’s not that New Hope has a shortage of home-grown and franchise coffee establishments, including the formidable Last Temptation and C’est La Vie, both of South Main Street. It’s that Cafe Coryell is shaping up to be a modern, light, spacious and airy space unlike any other of its ilk. Of course, we’re just talking about interior design and atmosphere.
But if the menu ultimately hits the mark, this little cafe with its historic name may make history on New Hope’s south end, or at least become a major player in New Hope’s food wars.
When is this place opening????
Can’t wait to be a frequent visitor to Cafe Coryell!
