If you’re a fan of Superman, Spider Man, My Little Pony, Gremlins, Care Bears, Manga, anime, horror, or classic video games, the wait is nearly over.
Phantasm Comics will open its doors on North Main Street May 1, and it’s destined to become a mecca for all things pop and counter culture.
At its core are “tons of great comics,” according to owner Greg Zuerblis, 29, who lives above the shop with is wife Marie. In fact, the couple fell in love with each other and New Hope while dating.
The store is already filling up with contemporary and alternative books, weeklies, and oldies, accompanied by statues and figures including bobble heads, Funko Pops and Mystery Minis.
Zuerblis says he’ll be a participating retailer for Free Comic Book Day on May 7, so save the date!
Phantasm Comics is located at 26 N. Main Street.
