Landscaper Hugh Marshall has again volunteered to recycle Christmas trees in New Hope this holiday season.
The tree collection is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 4, and Monday, Jan. 11, and is free for all New Hope Borough residents and businesses.
The best part is that it won’t cost the taxpayer’s a dime — workers and trucks are donated by Hugh A. Marshall Landscape Contractors, Inc. Collected trees will be chipped and used for mulch.
To participate in the tree recycling program, simply place your tree at the curb on Sunday night, Jan. 3, or Sunday night, Jan. 10. Marshall and his crew will visit all the streets in town to pick up the trees on Jan. 4 and 11. New Hope’s Public Works Department will also assist in the tree collection.
Additionally, the Village 2 Community Association has again offered a corner of the pool complex parking lot for tree drop-offs. Dan Peel, Community Management Services, can be contacted at (215) 862-2951 for additional information. Village 2 residents are encouraged to take their trees to the corner adjacent to the Village 2 dumpsters, closest to the circle, from where the Marshall crew will collect them.
