New Hope Borough Council heard an application Tuesday night submitted by Bucks County Playhouse for conditional use of parking, a river buffer, and a riverfront walkway extension, among other “improvements” to the Playhouse.
In essence, the proposal by Bucks County Playhouse appears to dramatically expand its concession and rear bar area, while offering no new theater seating.
Additionally, the proposal calls for extending the riverfront walkway, or “promenade,” alongside the former Club Zadar, to reach the access stairway of the Playhouse’s rear bar, which would be enclosed.
Elements of the application and plan will be reviewed by various Borough Council advisory committees in the coming months.
keep up the good work
Thank you, much appreciated!
So grateful someone is on top of what is happening in this town. With such limited coverage of meetings and votes in governing bodies, few get involved in places where they might choose to engage if aware. Thanks for your important work.
You’re welcome. Folks like you make it all worthwhile.
