New Hope police blotter: DUI, disorderly conduct, stolen glass from the school chem lab

Aug. 30, 2015 –  At 9:37 a.m., the owner of a West Bridge Street business reported to police that someone had broken a window in the store at some time during the overnight hours, possibly in an unsuccessful attempt to enter the business.

Sept. 5, 2015 – At 2:11 a.m., police cited Cynthia Grondahl, 42, of Carversville, and Melanie Wood, 27, of New Hope, for disorderly conduct, after they were observed acting in a disorderly manner on South Main Street.

Sept. 6, 2015 – At 10:46 a.m., a New Hope resident reported to police that someone had opened an account in his name at a Kohl’s Department Store in Marlton, N.J., and charged $1,500 in merchandise to the account. Police are continuing their investigation.

Sept. 17, 2015 –  At 4:33 p.m., an employee of the New Hope-Solebury School District reported to police that someone had removed glass apparatus at some time during the prior two days, valued at $1,000, from a chemistry lab.

Sept. 26, 2015 –  At 2:27 a.m., police arrested Brandon Spencer, 24, of Ivyland, for driving under the influence of alcohol, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest, as a result of an incident which occurred in a West Bridge Street parking lot.

  • Regarding the theft of $1,000 glass apparatus from a chemistry lab at New Hope Solebury High School. Could it be that some enterprising student will soon start up his own Meth Lab?
    There should be a monthly report given to the school board members-regarding any and all thefts and vandalism.
