The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and Business Alliance will be hosting its first “Renew Your Wedding Vows in New Hope” event on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11:30 a.m.
The event will take place at Ferry Street Park alongside the Delaware River at East Ferry and South Main streets. Pennsylvania state representative Scott Petri will preside over the non-sectarian ceremony, along with Pastor Ginny Miles from Penns Park United Methodist Church.
New Hope has been recognized as one of the most romantic destinations on the East Coast, reason New Hope Chamber/Alliance officials, and the event is part of a marketing effort that positions New Hope as a romantic getaway, honeymoon destination, gay wedding mecca, and special town for all lovers.
“A renewal of the vows will be held for all married couples, and for all those in a committed relationship, to affirm their love for one another,” said event organizer Herb Millman. “When we show we are committed to each other, and then to family and then to community, the world is a better place.”
The ceremony will take place rain or shine. For additional information about the event, call (215) 534-2169.
