One of the quirkier but better-attended events at the annual Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival is the pancake breakfast held at the New Hope-Solebury school campus on West Bridge Street.
Winter Festival is being held Jan. 17-25 this year, and along with a parade, chili contest, and ice sculpting, the pancake breakfast is a high-profile family-fun affair that also represents a terrific value for a good cause.
The New Hope-Solebury Girls Soccer team will be hosting the event on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 8-11:30 a.m. in the Middle School cafeteria. The all-you-can-eat style breakfast features eggs, French toast, sausages, drinks and, of course, pancakes. Archaeological evidence suggests that pancakes are probably the earliest and most widespread cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies, and New Hope is no exception.
Best part is the the price (adults $6.50; seniors $5; kids 3-12 $3.50), and the fact that it helps out our mighty soccer-playing women.
Buy tickets online or at the door. The event also features magic by Ran’D Shine sponsored by Solebury Parks & Recreation.
Great time, people, cause and vibe…and a uniquely New Hope way to fill up the family and help out our kids. See you there!
