The Delaware River Mill Society (DRMS) will host its Annual Fine Crafts and Art Show on Dec. 6 and 7 at the Prallsville Mills in Stockton, NJ.
The show features fine crafts and artwork from among the Delaware River Valley’s finest artisans and artists, including jewelry (beaded, chainmaille, enameled and fine); woodworking (wood turning, carving, small furniture and accessories); works in clay (functional and ornamental pottery, clay tile, and clay sculpture); hand-spun and -dyed wool; traditionally woven oak splint baskets; archival boxes wrapped with artist-painted papers; hand-dyed felted animals and figures; locally-made soaps and bath products, re-worked vintage clothing, glass and more. Fine art includes painting, prints, photography and pastels.
DRMS is the non-profit organization responsible for continued restoration, operation and maintenance of the historic Prallsville Mills Complex. The Mill Complex has become a place of cultural and environmental events attracting widespread participation. Concerts, art exhibitions, fine craft shows, holiday parties, school fund-raiser auctions, and meetings, as well as private weddings and parties, are a source of income for restoration and maintenance of the site.
The Prallsville Mills Grist Mill is located at 33 Risler St. in Stockton, NJ. The show is on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 5.p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Light lunch and refreshments by Bitter Bob’s BBQ in New Hope are available. Price for the show is $3, which benefits the non-profit DRMS. There’s also free parking on-site.
