New Hope-Solebury High School will be hosting a fall festival during Homecoming Weekend 2014, an event that students and staff hope will become an annual community tradition.
The festival represents a different direction for the Student Government of NH-S from the parades of years prior. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 on Field One next to the high school’s stadium in the back parking lot, also known as the West Parking Lot. The festival is open to the entire community and will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There’s no cost for admission, but each club or group stand may charge individually for their offerings, e.g. games and refreshments. Attractions for all ages will be offered, like pumpkin decorating hosted by the National Honors Society and pie throwing provided by the twelfth grade Student Government. An outdoor student volleyball tournament will also be held on the festival grounds.
Other public events during Homecoming Weekend 2014 include a football game on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., when the New Hope-Solebury Lions will battle the Delaware County Christian School on New Hope-Solebury’s home field.
