The business owners of North Main Street in New Hope are getting a head start on the Labor Day weekend with a special evening celebration Friday beginning at 4 p.m.
Visitors will be able to enjoy live street entertainers and artists at work, painting their masterpieces on North Main Street. The Shops of North Main Street — a group that includes retail shops, art and craft galleries, personal care specialists, and even a bakery — will provide refreshments for the event, as well.
“The Shops of North Main Street in New Hope are independently run by mom-and-pop business owners who believe in American labor and the American dream,” said Cockamamie’s co-owner Herb Millman. “We are celebrating American craftsmanship and art this Labor Day weekend, and want to invite all of our friends, neighbors and their families to come enjoy what promises to be a lovely late summer evening.”
Participating shops and galleries include New Hope Shoes, Ginnie Burke Collections, Cockamamie’s, Top Notch Accessories, Ferry Hill Treasures & Gifts, Topeo South, Village Toy Shop, Diana Michaels Jewelry, Topeo, Dominique Daniela, Gallery Piquel, La Bella Vita, Salon Gratitude, and Pudge Cakes.
