Renowned musicians Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen are teaming up for an evening of top-notch country and bluegrass music at the New Hope Winery on Friday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m.
A pioneer of the country rock genre, Chris Hillman made a name for himself through his work with The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas, and the Desert Rose Band. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award winner, four-time Grammy nominee and the recipient of numerous CMA and ACM awards.
Herb Pedersen is a legendary vocalist and all-star multi-instrumentalist who, over the past forty years, fronted the The Laurel Canyon Ramblers, and then has been a collaborator with a Who’s Who cast of legends, including Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, The Dillards, Old and In the Way, Dan Fogelberg, Stephen Stills, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Jackson Browne, John Denver, and the Desert Rose Band.
In recent years, Chris and Herb have recorded and toured in support of several collectionsof bluegrass, acoustic and country selections, as well as the occasional performances with the Desert Rose Band.
