The body of a male found floating in the Delaware and Raritan Canal in Lambertville Friday afternoon has been identified as that of 32-year-old local Kenneth J. Muzychko.
Muzychko appeared in these pages back in January, when on the 11th of that month he was arrested for possession of an open alcohol container and drug paraphernalia. Police had responded at approximately 5:42 p.m. to the area of Sheridan Park on York Street for a report of an intoxicated male. Upon arrival, Muzychko was found intoxicated within the park, and was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment.
Police have not announced any suspicion of foul play and are awaiting lab results. For many locals, memories of Sarah Majoras, tragically found in the canal last year, are being stirred.
Hunterdon County and Lambertville law enforcement organizations are involved in an investigation, and were not immediately available for comment.
