Perennial crowd-pleaser Raul Malo will return once again to the New Hope Winery for two performances and a “wine and food pairing” event in February.
Singer/songwriter Malo’s shows have previously sold out at the Winery, so fans might wish to purchase early on this one. His music has been described as “a lifetime’s journey, from the singer and songwriter’s youth in the Cuban neighborhoods of Miami through his years with hit country band the Mavericks, to his place today as one of the most intriguing and talented artists in the Americana and World Music scenes.”
The sound is “rooted in Malo’s life-long connection to Latin music, but infused with his wide-ranging love of country, blues, jazz and vintage rock and roll,” according to his website.
Shows are on Feb. 7 and 8, and also on Feb. 8 the Winery will host a wine and food pairing event with Malo prior to his Saturday evening performance (concert tickets not included). Wine educator Mike Conti leads a tour through five different wines with food prepared specifically for each wine and chosen by Malo.
