New Hope Borough has organized a campaign to recycle Christmas trees this holiday season. The tree collection, which is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 6 and Monday, Jan. 13, is free for all New Hope Borough residents and businesses, and will not have any costs for the Borough.
Thanks to the generosity of Hugh Marshall of Hugh A. Marshall Landscape Contractors, Inc., the trees collected in New Hope Borough will be chipped and used for mulch.
To participate in the Christmas tree recycling program, simply place your tree at the curb on Sunday night, Jan. 5, or Sunday night, Jan. 12. Hugh Marshall and his crew will visit all the streets in town to pick up the trees on Jan. 6 and 13. The New Hope Borough Public Works Department will also assist in the collection of trees.
Additionally, the Village 2 Community Association has again offered a corner of the pool complex parking lot for tree drop-offs. Dan Peel, Community Management Services, can be contacted at (215) 862-2951 for additional information. Village 2 residents are encouraged to take their trees to the corner adjacent to the Village 2 dumpsters, closest to the circle. Hugh Marshall will collect the trees from the Village 2 location.
