December 16, 2013 – Police arrested Robert Spurell, 28, of New Hope, for Burglary, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief, in connection with a burglary that occurred at a West Bridge Street establishment at 2:27 a.m. on January 4, 2010. Spurell was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Maggie Snow, and was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail.
December 7, 2013 – At 1:50 a.m. a Waterloo Street resident reported to police that, a few minutes prior, a subject unknown to him had entered his apartment through an unlocked door, but had fled when confronted. The suspect is described as an older white male, with silver hair, approximately 6′ in height, and wearing a long dark coat. The resident reported that nothing was taken from the residence.
December 7, 2013 – At 4:25 p.m. a 17-year-old Philadelphia youth reported to police that, earlier that day, his iPhone, valued at $200, had been stolen while he was participating in an event at the New Hope-Solebury High School. The phone is described as having a green cover, and a holographic skull image on its back.
December 10, 2013 – At 4:40 p.m. a Tahoe Court resident reported to police that, at some time within the prior four days, it appeared that someone had placed several screws into the rear tires of his vehicle.

CASE # 13904735 On Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:09 PM Sgt. Robert Brown stopped Blaine Shaddow Jr, 51, of New Hope on State Highway 29 for having a license plate light out. Shaddow was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and two charges of Maintenance of lamps. Shaddow was released pending a court appearance.
CASE # 13904707 On Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 12:13 a.m. Det. Michael Miloszar stopped Scott Hoffman, 47, of New Hope on Bridge street for failure to maintain lane. Hoffman was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and failure to Maintain lane. Hoffman was released pending a court appearance.
