Lambertville police say allegedly drunk local woman assaults rescue squad member trying to assist her

ambulancePolice officials say Jeaneen Murphy, 46, of Lambertville is facing multiple charges after purportedly assaulting an ambulance squad member attempting to assist her on Friday, Dec. 13.

According to the Lambertville Police Department, Detective Michael Miloszar was sent to the area of State Highway 165 in response to a report of an intoxicated female staggering in the roadway at approximately 5:30 p.m. When Miloszar arrived at the scene, Murphy was allegedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol.

Police summoned the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad to assist Murphy, who reportedly assaulted squad member Kristin Orlandi as she attempted to help Murphy. Orlandi was transported to Capital Health Medical Center for evaluation of a shoulder injury. Her arm remains in a sling as she awaits orthopedic follow up, officials confirmed.

Murphy purportedly went on to resist arrest as Detective Miloszar attempted to take her into custody for assaulting Orlandi. Murphy was charged with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction and Disorderly Conduct, police say. Murphy was sent to Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail where she remains, say corrections officials.
