The annual John and Peter’s Holiday Art Sale is coming up on Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 7-11 p.m. The event started some 17 years ago to help provide a venue for some of the local artists who call John and Peter’s their second home.
“When this event began, it was just my friend Victoria Volpe, who makes stained glass, and me. It has since grown to 12 artists, which is about all that can fit in the downstairs of the bar,” said local glassblower Meshell Kimbel, who will be in attendance this year along with Annelies van Dommelen (prints and tiles), Katia Mcguirk (tiles), Christine Ramirez and La Errig (jewelry), Rye Tippett (paintings), Scott Riether (photography), and fine art and crafts by Ellen Cohen, Aaron Krydt and Hallie Abbot.
“All of the art is affordable, beautiful and made locally,” pointed out Kimbel.
John and Peter’s is located at 96 S. Main St. in New Hope; (215) 862-5981.
