Just in time for the holidays, Bucks County Gallery in New Hope is hosting a 6” by 6” small painting exhibit and sale — hundreds of ’em, in fact, and all originals.
Gallery owner Howard Cooperman said the miniature painting exhibit and sale will run from Nov. 29 through Dec. 30. “Many fine art galleries promote a holiday art sale featuring several mini-paintings, but we’re hosting the largest small painting event around,” he said.
Forty one artists that entered the event have been juried into the show by a selection committee. Each artist was eligible to enter up to six paintings created within the last 12 months. Awards will be given to the artists for best of show, along with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, totaling $2,000.
While size matters for many art collectors, others find that the compact format allows for greater spontaneity and affordability.
Bucks County Gallery is located at 77 W. Bridge St. (just above the train tracks) in New Hope; (215) 862-5272.
