WHAT: Three area legislators will host a public meeting Nov. 21 in New Hope at which representatives of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) will explain proposed changes to area flood maps. The flood lines are being redrawn in 2014, which may make it necessary for some residents to obtain flood insurance for the first time. In addition to explaining the proposed changes, officials of FEMA and DCED will also provide citizens with information concerning the appeal process.
WHO: Bucks County Reps. Scott Petri (R-178), Bernie O’Neill (R-29) and Kathy Watson (R-144), and representatives of FEMA and DCED.
