The Savor New Hope weekend, Sept. 6 – 8, is a tradition that celebrates the culinary arts as well as the mission of New Hope Arts Center serving the regional arts community. This year the event honors Jim Hamilton, co-founder of the first Savor event in 2004 and long-time supporter of New Hope Arts.The gala Savor dinner on September 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. features the area’s finest chefs, caterers and purveyors of fine dining.
This annual event showcases 17 restaurants in the New Hope, Lambertville and the surrounding area, providing food and beverages for the New Hope Arts fundraiser held under tents on Stockton Avenue adjacent to the NHArts Center. A pavilion setting with live music provides visitors and residents a sampling of fabulous fare and a delightful menu crafted by the restaurants and purveyors who donate their efforts on behalf of the NHArts community. The First Bank of Newtown provides the funding to help generate contributions to the New Hope Arts Center though membership and ticket sales. Tickets are $45 for the event before September 7, $50 at the door.

Other events coupled with the Savor weekend include the opening reception for the New Hope Arts 1st Members’ Juried Exhibition on Friday September 6, 6-8 p.m. A Sculpture Walk will tour the contemporary sculpture installations set around the town will commence on Saturday, September 7 at 12:30 p.m. in front of the New Hope Arts Building.
