Entertainment legend Jimmy James performed Thursday night at the Raven in New Hope as part of a poolside fundraiser for the American Civil Liberties Union and their effort to promote marriage equality in Pennsylvania for L.G.B.T.-American taxpayers.
James, who is based in Los Angeles, performs a yearly East Coast tour and is best known for his ability to mimic the sounds and nuances of music legends like Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand and the late, great Judy Garland. His repertoire of over 200 songs is mesmerizing and a lesson in the American songbook and the art of vocal impressionism.
