July 4, 2013 – At 2:41 a.m. Police arrested a woman, 19, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Underage Drinking, after she was observed operating her vehicle in an unlawful manner on North Main Street. A passenger in the vehicle, a man, 20, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, was cited for Underage Drinking.
July 7, 2013 – At 1:10 a.m. Police cited a man, 31, of Stockton, New Jersey, and another alleged lout, 25, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, for Public Drunkenness, after the two engaged in an altercation in a West Bridge Street parking lot.
July 7, 2013 – At 3:30 p.m. Police arrested a female, 64, of Hopewell, New Jersey, for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, after she reportedly removed $943.00 worth of clothing items from a South Main Street store.
July 9, 2013 – At 12:56 a.m. Police responded to a South Main Street establishment to investigate a reported assault. The victim, a New Hope man, was allegedly punched several times in the head by another individual, reportedly suffering hairline fractures of his skull and jaw as a result. Police have identified a suspect, and charges are pending.
July 11, 2013 – At 3:15 p.m. a Yardley, Pennsylvania woman reported to police that, earlier that day, her iPhone, valued at $250.00, had been stolen from her place of employment, while she was at work.
July 13, 2013 – At 10:54 p.m. an Annandale, New Jersey woman reported to police that, earlier that evening, the front driver side window of her vehicle had been smashed while the vehicle had been parked on West Randolph Street.
July 13, 2013 – At 11:05 p.m. an employee of a West Bridge Street business reported to police that, at some time between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., someone had entered the building through a window, and had removed a bottle of wine from within the store.
July 15, 2013 – At 2:37 a.m. Police cited a male, 54, of New Hope, for Public Drunkenness, after responding to a report of an unwanted subject at a South Main Street establishment.
July 15, 2013 – At 10:17 p.m. Police responded to the Riverwoods section of the Borough to investigate a report of rocks being thrown through the windows of two residences on Riverwoods Drive.
July 17, 2013 – At 5:17 p.m. the owner of a South Main Street store reported to police that he had a subject detained for removing a bracelet, valued at $15.00, from his store. The suspect subsequently admitted to an earlier theft of a ring, valued at $12.00, from the same store. Charges are pending.
July 22, 2013 – At 12:40 p.m. a Newtown, Pennsylvania woman reported to police that, earlier that day, someone had drawn swastikas in the dust on her car windows, while her vehicle had been parked in a West Mechanic Street parking lot.
July 22, 2013 – At 9:32 p.m. a Riverwoods Drive resident reported to police that, at some time earlier that day, someone had entered his residence, and had removed jewelry and prescription drugs from within. Police have identified a suspect, and are continuing their investigation.
July 26, 2013 – At 3:20 p.m. Police cited a female, 18, of Brick, New Jersey, for Retail Theft, after she reportedly removed items, valued at $110.00, from three stores in the Borough.
July 26, 2013 – At 9:30 p.m. the owner of a South Main Street store reported to police that, approximately 15 minutes prior, someone had removed a shirt, valued at $20.00, from his store. Police obtained a video of the suspect, and are continuing their investigation.
July 27, 2013 – At 12:59 a.m. a cab driver reported to police that a subject had failed to pay an $11.00 fare, after being transported to the Borough.
July 27, 2013 – At 11:58 p.m. a Riverwoods Drive resident reported to police that, at some time earlier that day, someone had entered his home, apparently by forcing open the front door, and had removed jewelry from within the residence.
July 27, 2013 – At 1:50 a.m. Police cited a fellow, 29, of San Mateo, California, for Public Drunkenness, after he created a disturbance at a South Main Street establishment.
July 28, 2013 – At 11:59 a.m. a Riverwoods Drive resident reported to police that, at some time during the overnight hours, someone had entered her home, apparently through a side window, and had removed jewelry from within the residence. Anyone with information on this or the July 27 burglary on Riverwoods Drive, is asked to contact New Hope Police at 215-862-3033.
