Pure Prairie League to Play Lambertville – New Hope Winter Festival

Now in their fifth decade, Pure Prairie League continues to lead the way for the new generation of Country Rock.  This year’s Winter Festival Concert features founding members guitarist / vocalist Craig Fuller, pedal-steel innovator John David Call with veteran bassist Mike Reilly, propulsive drummer Scott Thompson and guitar ace Donnie Clark.

Pure Prairie League’s eponymous first album featuring the Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post cover that introduced fans to the bands trademark cowpoke “Sad Luke” has been hailed as a ‘major early influence in the emerging popularity of Country Rock music’.  Their second effort, the multi-platinum “Bustin Out” brought us the Craig Fuller penned classic “Falling In and Out of Love & Amie” along with other gems of the genre.  The group produced nine more albums, and numerous other hit songs including “Two Lane Highway”, “Let Me Love You Tonight”, “Early Morning Riser” and “I’ll Fix Your Flat Tire Merle”.
