Illegal drag race

Every year around Halloween time the crazies come out and run up and down the hill on West Mechanic Street. This year the
High Heel Race will be held on Sunday, October 28 at 4:30 p.m. Signups begin at 3 p.m. and the only requirement is that your heels measure at least 2.5 inches! Men in drag, women in animal costumes, dogs in heels — all are welcome. The delightful emcee Miss Pumpkin will be on hand, and the top three finishers will be showered in prizes from local businesses.
Free for everyone to enter; 3 p.m. signup, 4:30 p.m. race time.
