Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) today announced the list of “community leaders” that will assume the walk-on role of “Delivery Person” in Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park”.
Also announced was a live drawing scheduled for Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. to select three additional individuals to be featured in the role. More than 150 people entered the drawing to win a chance at playing the brief part, that of an out-of-breath delivery person who has just ascended the many flights to the young couple’s apartment.
Scheduled to appear to thus far are New Hope Mayor Laurence D. Keller, Borough Council President Claire Shaw, Councilperson Geri Delevich, Heritage Conservancy Chairman Marvin L. Woodall, former Michener Art Museum CEO Bruce Katsiff, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Vail P. Garvin, cabaret entertainer Bob Egan, former BCP alum and actor/director Eleanor “Mouse” Miller, and former BCP director/choreographer Kristine Lewis, among others.
Extended by popular demand, performances of Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park” run from Aug. 7 through Sept. 2 at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 S. Main St.).
