Hunterdon County Author Carona Davis Diop’s first book, The Opening, is now available for purchase! Receiving positive reviews on Amazon, The Opening is sure to please readers, and it is not your typical supernatural book! As one review states, “With a strong female lead, The Opening catches the reader from the beginning! It is a real page turner! Insightful and Creatively expressed!”

Carona will have the first of several upcoming book signings at the Somerset County 4-H Trainmasters annual Spring Show on June 3rd and 4th, from 10:00am-5:00pm each day, where she will be a featured attraction as part of the Trainmaster’s boutique of vendors and crafters. Then, in the evening on June 3rd, she is scheduled at her Latifa’s Fashion Boutique at 29 Race Street, Frenchtown, from 6:00pm-8:00pm for another book signing.

On Sunday, June 4th after the Trainmasters event, Carona will have an evening book signing event from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Freedom Art & Music Gallery at 29c Race Street, in Frenchtown. On Wednesday, June 7th, from 6:00pm-8:00pm, and then on Sunday, June 11th from 5:00-7:00pm, Latifa’s Fashion Boutique will once again be the featured venue for additional book signings. Light refreshments will be served.

On July 1st, Carona will work a program at the North County Branch of the Hunterdon County Library at 65 Halstead Street in Clinton, NJ from 10:00am-12:00pm. The session will include an exerpt reading from her book, The Opening, as well as a Question and Answer period from the audience.

Admission to the Somerset County 4-H Trainmasters event is $4.00 for Adults, and $2.00 for children from 2 years to 17 years old. Children under the age of 2 are free. Carona will sign her book, which will be available for purchase at all events. The Opening is also available on her website, www.caronadiop.com, through Amazon/Kindle, and at Barnes & Noble.  

Carona Davis Diop is a seasoned writer whose love for the unknown catalyzed her creativity within the Horror/Supernatural genre. Her works include the independent film “Infatuation”, published poetry, screenplays, and a host of comedic webtv shows from her production company, Diop Productions.

Carona was also featured in the 2002 HBO Cinemax Reel Life documentary Questioning Faith and appeared on the television talk show Sally Jesse Raphael. She now resides in New Jersey, having moved from Georgia, with her husband and four children.
