Part Of River Road To Be Closed In New Hope, Solebury

PennDOT announced a portion of River Road (Route 32) will closed beginning Wednesday.

Starting Wednesday, June 26, through Wednesday, July 3, and Monday, July 8, through Wednesday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., River Road will be closed weekdays between Windy Bush Road and Lurgan Road in New Hope Borough, Solebury Township, and Upper Makefield Township.

During the closure, motorists are directed to use Lurgan Road, Street Road, and Windy Bush Road, according to PennDOT.

The closure is due to planned pipe replacement, PennDOT said.

Local residents will have access to the area, but the road will closed to all others.

Drivers have been advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

The road work will be weather dependent.
