Passing of Timothy J. Losch, 66, of Lambertville

Timothy J. Losch, 66, of Lambertville, passed away suddenly on April 21.

Beloved husband of Kathe Cavallo Losch, and loving father of Dana Lachow and her husband Dave, Jeffrey Losch and his wife Kim, Chris Losch and his wife Jeni, and Kevin Losch and his wife Kendra. Cherished grandfather of Kelsey, Jordan, and Jake Lachow; JT, Abby, and Nick Losch; Chloe and Myles Losch; and Caden Losch. Dear brother of William C. Losch Jr. and his late wife Linda, Catherine Losch and her spouse Blair Turner, and Michael J. Losch and his wife Ann, and brother-in-law to Richard Cavallo and his wife Carol, and James Cavallo and his wife Pat.

Timothy spent 44 years in his career in banking. For 25 years, he was Senior Vice President of New Jersey National Bank/CoreStates, 10 years as Executive Vice President of Yardville National Bank, nine years at Fulton Bank of New Jersey, first as Regional President of Central Region, and most recently as Chairman of the Central Region Advisory Board. In 2006, he was given the award of “Citizen of the Year” by Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. Other accomplishments include the “Richard J. Hughes Humanitarian Award” from the Catholic Charities Diocese of Trenton in 2002, “Distinguished American Award” from the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame in 1997, the “Good Guy” award from Central New Jersey Chapter of the Boys Scouts of America in 1999, and the “Golden Award” for community service from the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce in 1990.

Timothy also served as Chairman for the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, member of the Executive Committee for the MidJersey Chamber of Commerce, President/Chairman for the Mercer County Community College Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Trenton, Chairman of the N.J. Urban Development Authority, Co-Chairman of the capital campaign for the Trenton Rescue Mission, Chairman of the New Jersey Bankers’ Legislative Committee, Vice Chairman of Hunterdon HealthCare System Board of Trustees, Trustee of MidJersey Center For Economic Development, Board of Directors for the National Kidney Foundation, President of the Lambertville school board, member of the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation, and Chairman of Jason Fuhr Memorial Golf Tournament and Scholarship Fund. He also devoted his time to being involved with the Lambertville and South Hunterdon Alumni Committee, Lambertville-West Amwell Youth Baseball Association, Tee Ball Director and Coach, Chairman of 2016 Central Jersey Kidney Walk, and active and devoted member of St. John’s Church in Lambertville. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed golf, LBI, and feeding his birds.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 26, from 6-9 p.m. at the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, 70 Alexander Ave. Funeral Mass is on Thursday, April 27, 10:30 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Lambertville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Timothy’s name to the National Kidney Foundation, 1500 Walnut St., Suite 301, Philadelphia , PA 19102, would be greatly appreciated.
