Yardley Art Show Benefiting Planned Parenthood Set for Spring

“Womb” by Jenny Waring.

Yardley artist Camille Whiteman is hosting an “Off the Wall Art Show for Planned Parenthood” beginning April 28 to benefit the non-profit health services group.

An opening reception is scheduled for April 28 from 6 to 9 p.m., and the show will run April 29 and 30, and on May 6 and 7, from noon until 7 p.m. Planned Parenthood will receive 100% of the proceeds.

“Organizations like Planned Parenthood, that exist to help people, are at risk of losing the ability to do what they have done in the past,” explained Whiteman. “We’ve organized together to try to make a positive impact.”

Whiteman says her fellow artists have been generous in pitching in.

“Artists working in a variety of mediums have contributed their work and efforts to this cause,” she said. “All artists are welcome to join the effort and donate their work.”

Donations of art are accepted at any time up through the show dates, say organizers, and all work for sale will be posted on the event’s Facebook page.

The event will be held at 137 S. Delaware Ave. in Yardley at Whiteman’s riverside barn studio.
