Lambertville and West Amwell Police Reports: DUIs, warrants, weed, heroin

On Jan. 29, at approximately 1:36 a.m., Patrolman Cory Flemming stopped a vehicle on Route 202/31 near Wertsville Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, Michelle Vetter (a 31-year-old female from Flemington, N.J.) was arrested for DWI. Vetter was transported to police headquarters for processing. After processing, Vetter was issued several motor vehicle summonses, and released with a court date.

On Feb. 1, at approximately 2:36 p.m., Patrolman Cory Flemming stopped a vehicle on Route 31 in the area of Rocktown Hill Road for a motor vehicle violation. A license check of the driver, Kaneka Nock-Lavine (a 34-year-old female from Trenton, N.J.) showed that she had an outstanding traffic warrant from the South Brunswick Municipal Court for $250. After processing and posting bail, Nock-Lavine was released with a court date.

On Feb. 8, Patrolman Joseph Cesare was providing court security in the West Amwell Municipal Court. A male arrived for his court appearance and, as he walked by, Patrolman Cesare observed the strong odor of burnt marijuana. After an investigation, Juan Serrano (a 25-year-old male from Trenton, N.J.) was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. After processing, Serrano was released with a court date.

On Feb. 10, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Patrolman Cory Flemming stopped a vehicle on Rt 202/31 in the area of Wertsville Road for a traffic violation. A driver’s license check of the driver, Christie Faber (a 27-year-old female from Bristol) showed an outstanding traffic warrant from Woolwich Township for $400. Faber was also found to be in possession of heroin. She was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, Faber was released with a court date.

On Feb. 12, at approximately 10:03 p.m., Patrolman Jonathan Sellner stopped a vehicle on Route 202 in the area of MM 1 for a traffic violation. As Patrolman Sellner spoke with the driver, Edward Kuerk (a 22-year-old male from Lansdale) he observed the odor of marijuana. Kurek was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.  After processing, he was released with a court date.

Case #17001270:

Keyana M. Montigue, 25, of Trenton, N.J, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 10, at 8:16 a.m. for an active warrant.

While on patrol, Ptl. Wurpel observed Montigue’s vehicle traveling in the area of State Highway 29 and Weeden Street at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. Ptl. Wurpel stopped Montigue in the area of State Highway 179 and Hancock Street.

Subsequent to investigation, Montigue was found to have a suspended driver’s license and an active ATS warrant out of Trenton Municipal Court in the amount of $89. He was placed under arrest and processed for the warrant. Montigue posted bail in full and was later released with a pending court date.

Case #17001305:

John L. Wallden, 53, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at 1:14 a.m. for DUI.

While on patrol, Ptl. Pascoe observed Wallden’s vehicle traveling in the area of State Highway 165 in the left lane of travel with no other vehicles on the roadway. Ptl. Pascoe stopped Wallden in the area of State Highway 29 and Weeden Street. Subsequent to investigation, Wallden was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest. Ptl. Pascoe charged Wallden with DUI, Careless Driving, and Failure to Keep Right. Wallden was later released with a pending court date.

Case #17001326:

Avish Persaud, 19, of Edison, N.J. was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at 7:46 p.m. for Possession of CDS.

While on patrol, Ptl. Bast observed Persaud’s vehicle traveling in the area of State Highway 29 and Buttonwood Street with a bent front license plate that obstructed the markings on the plate. Ptl. Bast stopped Persaud in the area of State Highway 29 and Alexauken Creek Road. Subsequent to investigation, Persaud was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and placed under arrest. Ptl. Bast charged Persaud with Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana.He was later released with a pending court date.
