A food truck fundraiser being held on Friday, Aug. 5, will seek not only to satisfy appetites and raise spirits, but also raise money for the New Hope-Solebury Education Fund.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m., and features Bonjour Creperie, BrazBQ (Brazilian barbecue) Cupcake Carnivale, Jules Thin Crust Pizza, and My Four Suns (Korean fusion), all of whom contribute a portion of profits to the fund.

“The primary mission of the New Hope-Solebury Education Fund is to enhance the quality of education for our students, explained Collette Martino, vice president of the non-profit organization. “The primary means for accomplishing this is by funding teacher-led grants.

“Recent grants have provided funding for 3D printers, standing desks, video production equipment, mountain bikes, 3D pens, and presentations that focus on character and diversity,” she added.

The event will be held rain or shine at the New Hope-Solebury High School parking lot at 180 W. Bridge St. in New Hope. Admission is free, but one must pay for food, and the $5 parking fee is donated to the high school booster clubs.
