Chinese puppet artist featured in family-friendly performance at Lambertville Hall

Hua Hua_High res (1)Bucks County Playhouse will present “East Meets West,” a collection of vignettes featuring the work of master Chinese puppet artist Hua Hua Zhang, on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Lambertville Hall.

This performance art event is the first in a new series of theater performances for young audiences that the Playhouse will present in the historic space, say promoters. The collection of short stories presented in “East Meets West” are told through dancing, singing, speaking, acting, Chinese opera, and traditional stylized performance art.

The performance is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds.

“My dream for ‘East Meets West’ is to broaden the audience’s perspective, and open their hearts, by sharing, appreciating, understanding and embracing the many differences, and mostly the similarities, among Eastern and Western cultures so that we can all find each other in peace,” said Zhang.

Lambertville Hall is located in the former First Baptist Church at 57 Bridge St. in Lambertville, N.J. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and are available online, or by calling the box office at (215) 862-2121.
