‘Jim Hamilton and Friends’ celebrates legendary personalities from New Hope’s artistic past

JimNew Hope Arts Center will host “An Evening with Jim Hamilton and Friends” featuring narrative and reproductions of the classic works of area artists and artisans.

The event will be held for one night only on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the “Celebrate the Arts” Weekend at New Hope Arts Center.

Hamilton, a professional designer, restaurateur, and raconteur of regional history, will bring to life the area’s legendary artists and characters with stage set, personal stories and images from New Hope’s golden era of the 1940s- 1990s, say organizers.

Hamilton is renowned for his casual elegance and stories of growing up in Lambertville, and of the artists and artisans now featured in museums and recognized around the world.

Seating for “An Evening with Jim Hamilton & Friends” is limited, so early reservations are advised. Tickets are $30 for the performance, prefaced by a reception with wine and hors d’ouerves, and are available via the New Hope Arts Center, (215) 862-9606, and Hamilton’s Grill Room, (609) 397-4343.

Curtain is at 7:30 p.m., and proceeds benefit New Hope Arts.
