New Hope synagogue Kehilat Hanahar, also known as The Little Shul by the River, held its annual Pet Service on Oct. 24.

Members brought their pet friends, including several large and small dogs, two ferrets, and a snail, to a service where they were blessed to “enjoy life together and care for one another in peace.”

In addition, a Pet Kaddish (memorial prayer) was said for the pets whose memories stay in the members’ hearts, saying “I will remember you with joy and a smile.”

All in all, a fun and creative event in a sea of otherwise negative news this week.
